GrassRootsYoga is a small, independent yoga program that serves both the general public and individuals with disabilities. We especially invite downtown residents and students to visit our studio.
A portion of every class fee is dedicated to members of the Latitude Artist Community, an arts and advocacy organization in Lexington, Kentucky.
We offer chair yoga for individuals with mobility
issues due to age, injury, weight, or disability; these take place on Tuesday and Thursday mornngs.
Yoga Basics is appropriate for beginners; and mixed level hatha Vinyasa Flow classes are for students with some experience, or those who are generally more fit.
Is Yoga Right for Me?
Always check with your physician before beginning any form of exercise, especially if you have pre-existing illnesses or injuries. Take the time to share any concerns you may have with your yoga instructor.
Doctors are increasingly recommending yoga for the treatment of arthritis, fibromialgia, diabetes, depression, and many other serious conditions. It's never too late to begin.
