Jeanne Clotfelter came to yoga in 2003 to bring balance to her life. The effects of osteoarthritis were making themselves known in her body, and the weight of chronic depression and anxiety was keeping her from experiencing a full life. She was hooked after her first class, coming away with a new outlook on life. Practicing yoga has brought strength and flexibility to her body and an inner peace and happiness she had not previously known.
Jeanne's philosophy is that everyone can practice yoga, no matter what age, shape, size, or physical limitations. If you are aware you are breathing, you are practicing yoga. She feels that loving your body is key to being healthy and happy. Her classes provide a welcoming, supportive, and non-intimidating space for those who may not fit the stereotypical yoga student mold.

Jeanne is a registered Yoga Alliance (RYT) teacher at the 200-hour level, having completing her yoga instructor training in 2009 with Barefoot Works Yoga and Wellness Studio in Lexington. Jeanne lives in Lawrenceburg with her husband, Jerry, their two cats, Buzzard and Lady, and Jeanne's mom, Lillian, who is a chair yoga practitioner.
GrassRootsYoga is honored to have the talent and support of its assistant teaching staff. Jeanne Clotfelter and Sarah Frank are sensitive, knowledgable yoga instructors who will guide you safely and joyfully through your yoga journey. Both are graduates of BarefootWorks Yoga Teacher Trainings in Lexington, Kentucky and are nationally certified with Yoga Alliance.
Sarah Frank began her yoga practice a little over three years ago in Lexington. Initially looking for a way to manage stress, her practice quickly became much more than that.
Sarah began her yoga teacher training in January of 2008, eager to share her love of yoga with others. She has been actively teaching yoga since. Sarah teaches basic yoga postures and breathing techniques to her students. In her classes, she asks her students to listen to their bodies as they practice. Sarah enjoys presenting yoga in an informative and fun manner, striving to make all in her class feel

both comfortable and excited about the practice of yoga. She enjoys teaching the following yoga styles; hatha, vinyasa, yin, restorative, and yoga nidra.
Currently, Sarah works full time at the University of Kentucky. In addition to her “day” job, Sarah teaches yoga twice a week at Barefoot Works Yoga Studio. When she's not in the office or on the yoga mat, Sarah loves to cook and bake, knit and read with her cats Macy and Minnie, and watch/attend many sports (a Cincinnati native and sports fan!), walk around the downtown neighborhoods, as well as hike and camp outdoors with her partner Brandon.
